Parc Supplies contacted Co-Development with a project requirement for a Microsoft Access system. The new system would allow users to upload spreadsheets created in a Sage Line 50 accounting system, the data provided is to be used to manage deliveries, each uploads supplied details of stock ordered, and available stock levels.
The uploads are created on a daily basis to be uploaded into the new MS Access system. Once uploaded, the details were to be accessible via an order screen allowing the user to add orders to selected routes for delivery whilst taking into account available stock levels.
The system was required to colour code the orders to make the task easier for the user. red for no stock, amber for some stock available and green for all items in stock. The orders are then to be exported to out to a spreadsheet for the warehouse staff to use for processing deliveries.
